The Allett Shaver is a beautifully balanced machine with a height of cut range from 2.4mm-19mm perfect for maintaining cricket wickets (3-10mm) and even squares(10-14mm). The Shaver is available in a 20’’ or 24’’ model and is fitted with micrometer-type quick cutting height adjuster enabling fast and easy height of cut change. Allett Tournament 20 and 24
Another option for wickets is the Allett Tournament which is the same machine as the Allett Shaver however it is fitted with an additional turf groomer. The powered turf groomer uses thin, closely spaced vertical blades to lift lateral grasses immediately in front of the cutting cylinder. By using the groomer you get a consistently level, true and even finish which is vital in the game of cricket. It is well worth the additional investment to upgrade to the Tournament.

Allett C20 and C24
Another perfect option for cutting a wicket would be the C20 or C24 machine which are interchangeable cartridge machines. Both machines have a height of cut range equivalent to that of the Shaver and Tournament (2.4mm-19mm) perfect for both wickets and even the square (10-14mm). The additional benefit of the C20/C24 machines is that you can insert various cartridges into the unit for a wide range of tasks including brushing, scarifying and verticutting amongst others. This versatility greatly extends the cost effectiveness of the C range units enhancing the value of the investment.
