ECB GRANTS
The Grass Pitch Improvement Fund (GPIF)
The Grass Pitch Improvement Fund (GPIF) aims to tackle inequalities by providing improved access to good quality, safe playing facilities for targeted groups. The Sport England Lottery Fund will provide funding for projects in England with projects in Wales supported by the England and Wales Cricket Trust.
Priority will be given to applications which support cricket for the following groups:

Women’s and girls’ cricket

Cricket in diverse communities

Disability cricket
-
Low socio-economic groups (LSEG)
Investment will be targeted into three main areas:

Improving the quality of squares and outfields (for grass pitches rated ‘unsuitable’ or ‘basic’ to improve to at least ‘good’)

Creating sustainable management of sites (through irrigation and machinery improvements)
-
Installing hybrid pitches to increase playing capacity
County Grants
The County Grants scheme is available to affiliated clubs and is designed to support the creation of welcoming environments, the enhancement of facilities, and the expansion of playing opportunities. A key focus of this initiative is addressing climate change.
Clubs can apply for funding to assist with the purchase of electric mowers, with the primary theme being Tackling Climate Change.
Applications can range from £1,000 to £10,000, with successful clubs eligible for up to 25% of the total cost of an electric mower.
This grant provides a valuable opportunity for clubs to improve their sustainability efforts while enhancing their turf maintenance equipment.
Interest-Free Loan
The Interest-Free Loan scheme offers financial support to clubs for capital projects aimed at fostering long-term sustainability. It is open to all affiliated clubs and organizations that can demonstrate their commitment to the charitable objectives of the EWCT.
To be eligible, clubs must contribute at least 10% of the total project cost through partnership funding.
Eligible projects include the purchase of equipment and machinery, helping clubs invest in the tools necessary to ensure their future growth and sustainability.
