Allett Mowers Fundraising Event

We held an Allett fundraising 'Cake Week' in the last week before Xmas. Below is our Thank-You letter from Dougie Mac - a local charity and the only adult hospice within North Staffordshire caring for people with life-limiting illnesses. We at Allett like to do our bit for great charities with our MD Austin Jarrett leading the way with his Ultra challenges in extreme temperatures including his latest ICE ULTRA challenge - there's a rumour on the grapevine he may be off again soon to the extreme heat. You may also have seen our pink mowers in aid of The Eve Appeal (See Below) where we manufactured approximately 22 pink Sandringham mowers to raise money for the charity - ALL proceeds from the sales went to the UK's Gynaecological Cancer Research Charity. The machines sold very quickly! We had been making cakes all year and keeping a 'Cake Leaderboard' in the office. We decided that we could make some money for a local charity and chose 'The Douglas Macmillan' charity on this occasion. We raised £86.00 in total from the sale of 7 cakes sold around the office as individual slices- every little helps! The cakes were scored for their looks and taste in a Mary Berry style points system. The 2017 leaderboard has already started!
